This is one of the oldest lands to exist in Washington state, dating back to 1996. The name Inland Ocean is an allusion to the Puget Sound, a body of water which functions like an ocean, but is partially surrounded by land.
In 1996, Tamisan D’Verdemire and Calidran Lightbane founded the Inland Ocean. With the help of Padraig McMannan, the first triumvirate of the Inland Ocean was formed in 1997. Initially, Inland Ocean was under Tamisan’s home kingdom, Dragonspine.
“This park has had a pretty rich history just like every land I have seen across the country…. I could tell stories of love, hate, political intrigue, suspense, betrayal, epic battles, major victories and miserable defeats… murder (well maybe not murder)….. You’ll laugh, you’ll cry…. You’ll find it sounds like the story of many other amtgard lands… 😉
We have a pretty young group at our park right now…. a strong majority of our membership is between the ages of 14 and 20…. We have between 20 and 40 people out on a consistant basis (stronger in the summer time, less in the cold wet winter, but we hardcores still show up year round) The veterans that we have around this park spend our time, showing the younger members the ins and outs of all aspects of Amtgard… IO is a land that enjoys just swinging stick, but we have good A & S competitions, scenario battle games and formal court.
Greenwood Keep is a member group of the Kingdom of the Northern Lights, a group of lands formed in Washington state which have recently become a Kingdom. Originally founded in the spring of 1999 by Trevor DuNordmotte, Margaret, Balinor Darkwolf, Savaen, and Edgar, in Lacey, Greenwood Keep quickly grew with players both old and new. Achieving the status of Barony, GWK continued on and became a well known part of the Mystic Seas. After a bit of hardship and flagging attendance, GWK was recently restarted in January of 2011 and is growing again, trying to, and so far succeeding at reclaiming its place in the Pacific Northwest.

Flooded Mountains started in October of 2019, and got their contract finalized January 19 2020. The park was founded by Drax Cummuni (Sheriff), Shadow Dragonslayer (Regent), Yiara (Prime Minister), Twinkle Cheeks (Champion), and Travesty.
Kieran the Lucky made the Heraldry for Flooded Mountains in February 2020, the park is between two mountains, with amazing views, and in the middle of multiple large bodies of water, so Flooded Mountains sounded right.
From the very beginning, Flooded Mountains was supported and assisted by members of the Northern Lights. This chapter was donated equipment for their champions bag, along with other items needed to start a new park. Members of the Kingdom also traveled down frequently from neighboring lands in support.
In June of 2020, Flooded Mountains was welcomed as the newest Northern Lights Chapter with the status of Shire.

The Dragons of Fire Valley was formed in 2007 in Chehalis, Washington. The land started with three people searching for a new home. Finding a land rich with trees and resources in Washington, they had found a new area to set up home. Voting and making it official, the land started its long journey towards prosperity, and are growing constantly each year. Finding a solid support structure within the Northern Lights, the Dragons of Fire Valley have become hosts to several large scale travel days and provide a great group of people for future growth of the Northern Lights and Dragons of Fire Valley itself.
