Galladorn

Galladorn is a foamfighting realm in Cincinnati and Northern Kentucky. It was founded in 2009 by Rap Spaceington, Enderonimus, and Aldous. We welcome all newcomers and visitors from other realms. Our neighbors are Couatl’s Eye to the north, Mittelmarch to the west, and Grim’s Keep to the northeast.

If you are interested in participating, join our Facebook and Discord groups and introduce yourself or go to one of the practices listed on this page! All you have to bring is yourself – loaner gear is available for newcomers.

Glenmorel

Belegarth Medieval Combat Society is a fun, safe, and inexpensive sport where participants wear medieval or fantasy-themed clothing and fight with foam-padded weapons. The fighting is hard and fast and has, since 1979, refined into its own brand of martial art. The rules are easy to learn, and after a few practices, you’ll be hooked!

Belegarth groups often have themes and symbols. In Glenmorel we encourage creativity and personal expression. We have a Fae theme, but don’t require our members to adhere to a specific color scheme or emblem. Instead, we encourage you to use the triple moon, our base emblem, in a design that speaks to you and the character you want to portray. Since the Belegarth ruleset is for combat and safety only, all role-play is optional. The amount of effort you put into your characterization is up to you! Belegarth provides a great environment for both serious role players and those who would rather just fight.

We are highly LGBT friendly, and pride ourselves on a friendly and approachable atmosphere. We have a large selection of extra weapons to choose from. If you come out, be sure to bring some water, wear athletic clothes, and of course bring positive vibes!

In Belegarth the folk are queer, but our fae folk are Queerer!

The Center

Belegarth Medieval Combat Society is a fun, safe, and inexpensive sport where participants wear medieval or fantasy-themed clothing and fight with foam-padded weapons. The fighting is hard and fast and has, since 1979, refined into its own brand of martial art. The rules are easy to learn, and after a few practices, you’ll be hooked!
Like traditional sport teams, Belegarth groups have themes and symbols. Many groups choose to base themselves on medieval fantasy fiction or history such as Lord of the Rings, Game of Thrones, or ancient Rome. Participants choose a name that represents them and can choose to portray a character or to simply just fight. Since the Belegarth ruleset is for combat and safety only, all role-play is optional. The amount of effort you put into your characterization is up to you! Belegarth provides a great environment for both serious role players and those who would rather just fight.
With Belegarth Medieval Combat Society groups all over the world, there should be one near you. If there isn’t, you can start one, and we will do everything we can to help you and your new group succeed.

We are based in Clermont FL at Palatlakaha Recreation Park.

Mines of Moria

The Mines of Moria is an active realm based in the Colorado School of Mines in Golden, CO. We are a super welcoming realm for all levels of fighters. Our club consists of mostly college students, with some appearances by the Bone Crows and House Volant (Dagorhir units in Denver). Twice weekly practices consistent during the week. We are noncommittal and a casual group. We DO NOT use armor, archery, javelins, or garb. Wearing garb or armor is allowed and encouraged, but armor will have no effect. Loaner weapons and shield available for use at practices. Most practices see at least about 10 fighters, with up to 20+ on a good day or at school events. We are active through the school year, but not the summer (look at groups mentioned above for summer fights in Colorado). For questions and inquiries about our group, check out our Discord. We do most of our communication and weekly announcements there. Hope to see you out!
