Amtgard is a battle gaming and live-action fantasy roleplaying and boffer combat game with chapters primarily based in the United States and Canada as well as Germany, Croatia, and South Korea. We are family friendly and inclusive. We have loaner gear and weapons and ready to see everyone have fun.
We meet regularly at Chesapeake City Park (900 City Park Drive in Chesapeake) at Shelter 11 in Section C (or the tree line to its left), on Saturdays from 12 to 5pm.

Amtgard is a world-wide organization dedicated to medieval and fantasy combat sports and recreation. We use padded weapons, fantasy and authentic clothing, and imagination to immerse players in a world of heroic combat, quests, crafts, and more.
No matter if your interest is competitive sports fighting, finding an outlet for your creative talents, or honing your leadership skills, Amtgard has something to offer you!

Amtgard’s Barrony of the rivers end is an inclusive focused, family friendly (under 18 needs parental supervision, ages 14+ preffered, but younger than 14 can play provided they show that they can follow the rules, work within the game system and take their hits. We focus on light contact (no shield bashing or grappling) boffer play with class leveling and magic mechanics as well.
It’s free to play with us, we have loaner weapons and garb, if you’d like to become a full member with voting rights it’s only $6 for 6 months. We have a slew of obsessive experts who are all too happy to mentor and educate new members as they learn and grow within our larp community.

Hey everyone! We are an Amtgard Chapter based out of the Northeast, TN and Southwest, VA area: Bristol, TN. If you’re interested in a fun, fast paced LARP experience, we’re here to help, and we want to be your first choice when taking the plunge.
For your first couple meetings, all you need to bring is yourself. We have plenty of gear specifically to hand out to newcomers, so bring your friends too.

*Please note that the city municipals charges a $2 gate fee, per car. However, you are able to park for free at the directly adjacent golf course parking. We are only a very small walk up the drive.
